About
English F is a self-paced Grade 6 reading and writing program designed to help students become confident, capable readers and clear, effective writers. Built for learners who are ready to strengthen core literacy skills while also being challenged to think more deeply about what they read, this course guides students through a structured sequence of lessons that build comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and composition skills step by step. Whether a student needs extra practice, wants to get ahead, or simply learns best with flexible scheduling, English F provides a complete, supportive learning path that can be completed anytime and from anywhere. At the sixth-grade level, students begin moving from “learning to read” toward “reading to learn.” Texts become more complex, ideas become more layered, and writing expectations increase. English F is designed to meet that moment. Students learn how to read with purpose, identify key ideas and supporting details, analyze how authors craft meaning, and respond thoughtfully using evidence. On the writing side, students learn how to plan, draft, revise, and edit their work so their ideas are organized, their sentences are strong, and their final pieces are polished and clear. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, practice consistently, and build the habits that lead to long-term academic success. Because English F is self-paced, students can move through the course on a schedule that fits their lives. Some learners may complete a few lessons each week, while others may work more intensively. The program is organized into 60 lessons that create a clear learning journey, so students always know what to do next. Each lesson focuses on a specific skill or set of related skills, and the course gradually increases in complexity to help students grow
